COPIEDOrigin
Sumptuary law forced Edo townspeople toward greys and browns, and dyers turned that restriction into an art form. Nezumi-iro is the neutral baseline from which countless named variants — benikake-nezu, gin-nezu, rikyū-nezu — were derived.
Where you'll see it
Wa-modern interiors, restrained crafts, understated business design.
